Novo Nordisk

Global Project Framework

Novo Nordisk employs 42,600 people in 79 countries and distribute their products in more than 170 countries. This places great demands on process management across the organization. Not least for a company where optimal balancing of environmental and economic results permeates the way they do business.

Challenge

Novo Nordisk’s generic project management process was described in a PD- based “Project Manual” where the content was “carved in stone”. Novo Nordisk demanded a modern and user-friendly interface that promotes transparency where everyone can see who should do what and when, and guides users through the generic project management process on without unnecessary silo thinking

Planning

Solution

Novo Nordisk came prepared and had, prior to the development task, decided what future requirements for a new interactive project management process would be. This was a good starting point for CPH Cloud’s UX team, which resulted in a uniquely user-friendly interface. Despite having to oversee and navigate extensive process steps that take place in parallel across departments and business areas, we have succeeded in designing a user interface that can be used with one hand on the mobile phone.

GPF – the Global Project Framework also makes it much easier to oversee the interdependence of the processes, which is very important to ensure that processes and costs are not implemented without having made all the necessary internal and external preparations and related processes.

Result

The solution is a central and important part of Novo Nordisk’s project management processes, which serve around 4,000 users across the organization. The solution is a key tool for research, research and development, as well as for regulatory issues of safety, product quality and legislation.
