Project Description

Canadian Partnership Against Cancer

Canadian Partnership Against Cancer (CPAC) is Canada’s destination for evidence-based cancer control information. Sharing knowledge from thousands of Canadian healthy public policies focused on cancer and chronic disease prevention.

Prevention Policies Directory

The Prevention Policies Directory is a free online tool that makes it easier for public health research and policy specialists to find Canadian policies related to cancer and chronic disease prevention.

This directory contains thousands of documents and policies relating to the key modifiable risk factors for cancer and chronic disease. Including valuable evidence that can help develop policies by learning what has worked well for others.

The content originates from a large number of different locations that are automatically monitored and crawled by robotics technology collecting relevant document updates. A specialised ICE system validates and distribute new and updated data to the CPAC content curators, that manually review the documents before they are distributed to the platform.
